February Highlights
  • Evelette weighed 8 lbs 6 oz and was 20 inches tall.
  • She was still eating every 2-3 hours round the clock, talk about exhausting! And she would only eat 3 oz at each feeding, I could never get her to eat any more than that!
  • My favorite thing about her that started in February was her famous cross eyed face! Oh I love looking at pictures of it, it makes my day! She puckers her lips and just goes cross eyed for ever! She is so silly.

  •  Her blessing day was absolutely beautiful and perfect. We were so blessed with so many family members that drove all the way out to support us. Mike gave her the most spiritual and amazing blessing. Such a great day! And of course, Evelette looked so pretty in her blessing dress, which is the same dress my mom made for me! :)

  • We took her swimming for her first time  when she was only 2 1/2 months old, but she did so good. She just stared wide-eyed the whole time. Her tiny little body looked so adorable in her swimsuits, even though they were huge on her!

...

January Highlights
  • At her one month check up she weighed 5 lbs 5 oz and was still 18 1/2 inches long.
  • At one month old, you had your first little photo shoot and the pictures turned out SO dang cute!So hard to only pick a few!

  • Evey had lots of visitors that month, both sides of the family were very eager to see her!
  • We went on our first little road trip with her, Mike had to go to Denver for a class for his work. We love those little trips filled with relaxing dinners paid for and chillin in the hotel. :) Evey did pretty good on her first little adventure with mommy and daddy!

  •  Her most favorite thing of the month was cuddling on daddy's belly zipped up in his hoodies. SO cute!

A bunch of updating for little Evey

    December Highlights:
    • Evelette weighed 5 lbs 2 oz and was 18 1/2 inches long at her 4 day check up.
    • She was a really light eater and she would hardly even wake up when I tried to feed her, until about 4 weeks old. Starting at about a month old she would wake up round the clock to eat every 2 hours.
    • She was very famous for her LOUD grunts and high pitched squeaks while she slept. She also slept all day and night with her hands in fists and held straight out into the air, so funny!

    • Ever since she was a week old, she have always straightened and stiffened her legs, being able to hold most of her body weight, very strong little girl! But of course I already knew this, being able to feel your kicks and punches while in my tummy.
    • She was very spoiled for quite some time sleeping in bed with mommy and daddy.
    • She has always hated being put on her stomach, still does to this day!
    • Evey rolled over at about 2 1/2 months old.
    • By the end of her December she was able to focus her eyes on anything and follow things around the room, so fun to watch her face expressions while taking everything in.
    • We had a wonderful first Christmas with our cute little family here at home in Rangely.

    Serious Updating Time...!!

My perfect little daughter, Evelette Diane Meinzer, was born on Saturday December 4, 2010 at 12:31pm. She was a tiny 5 lbs 7 oz and 18 inches long. She was the most beautiful and aware little newborn baby I have ever seen. Thinking back on the first moment I finally saw her gets me very emotional. Michael and I are SO blessed with this perfectly healthy baby girl. Every day that I am blessed to be her mother, I just fall more and more in love with her! I am pretty sure she thinks to herself, "enough with the kisses and pictures already!!" haha But I just hope she knows this is only the beginning!!

    Evelette only minutes old

1 Day old. Still can't believe how beautiful she is!

Proud mommy about 2 hours after birth

    Very, VERY proud daddy.
December 2 was my 35 week checkup. I had been experiencing blurry vision, horrible and painful migraines, shortness of breath, among many other things a few weeks before. At my checkup my blood pressure was sky rocket high, which is extremely abnormal for me, and a bunch of other symptoms. My doctor told me I had a mild case of Preclampsia and that its very possible I could be induced the next day. In panic, he sent me over to the OB Unit of the hospital to monitor the baby and have me "checked". Not surprisingly, I was not effaced or dilated at all. Little baby in my belly was doing great as far as they could tell. They monitered me for about 5 hours and decided I was ok to go home, that nothing was progressing but that I needed to come back in the next morning. I went home, told my husband that my doctor said I might be induced the next day but I thought it very unlikely. So Mike took work off just incase, even though I told him it might be a waste of time. Good thing he came because after being monitered again for 4 hours and my blood pressure being really high still, Dr. Griffith said the risks were WAY higher for the baby to stay inside of me versus waiting til she was full term, because of my Preclampsia. We were freaking out, pretty much in shock when I was wheeled into my labor and delivery room at 35 and 1/2 weeks pregnant. I was induced at 3pm that friday and was in labor for 13 hours before I got my epidural and was dilated to a 3. Once I got my epidural I was able to relax and very quickly continued to dilate. I was hating that I even waited that long, knowing that it would've gone that fast, but according to my nurse, I couldn't get my epidural til I was dilated to a 5...which I later found out that is not true, grrrr!! Evelette was born 25 hours later after a very LONG and PAINFUL labor process! But it was all worth it when she came out breathing on her own and healthy as can be! I was definitely being watched over and so blessed. We are so thankful for our little addition to the family! Love you sweetie!
Evey weighed just 5 lbs when we left the hospital, not even preemie clothes fit her yet!

    Almost 31 weeks!

So tomorrow I will be 31 weeks pregnant! The third trimester has been really good for me so far. I still can't believe I am already almost there, only 9 more weeks and I get to meet my precious little baby girl! :)
Here are some fun facts about what's going in my tummy right now:
    • She weighs about 4 pounds! No wonder why it hurts to walk haha
    • She is almost the full length that she will be when she is born (16-21 inches long!)
    • Her immune system is almost prepared for the world out here :)
    • If she is going to have hair or peach fuzz on her head when she is born, that is starting to grow!
If you couldn't tell, I am loving being prego (well besides the stretch marks and cyatic nerve issues haha but thats luckily been the worst of my concerns)
I love that my husband can feel her now all the time. She loves feeling daddy's hands. Wish us luck for the next 9 weeks, they are going to go by fast!!

    I feel so old....

What a lovely birthday weekend I was able to share with both of my families:) I turned 22 on . Saturday, proud to say I will be having my first baby when I am 22 years old haha, good start eh?

he he, just a little flashback to my 10th birthday! Me and Brianna :)

    Me and cute little Lelly!
Last Friday night after Mike got off work, we headed to Utah to my parent's house. We played some card games and went to Beto's (which I haven't done since I was like 17 haha and I totally remember why now...). Saturday morning was a bright and early one, being since my mind would NOT STOP at 3.30 am. So unfortunately, my birthday was spent mostly with three hours of sleep and a lovely headache to keep me company ALL day long! Gotta love that! But all in all, I still had a wonderful birthday thanks to my hubby and family! We met Brandon, Kylie, and little Irey at Los Hermanos for lunch, which I was EXTREMELY disappointed with the service and food! (And I can complain about that because I have worked in many, many different restaurants since I was 14 and it really is not that difficult to freaking bring chips and salsa after we've been sitting there 25 minutes and to keep our WATER cups full!!)

All of the Fam Damily at lunch! (notice the little booger-picker in the front haha)

After lunch, Mike dropped me off to get a pedicure. I was So stoked for this, being since I can hardly even bend over, let alone clip and paint my own toenails! It was really relaxing and I enjoyed every minute of it. We went shopping to a few different places and got sick of all the people so we headed home, where my mom and sisters were busy busy making lots of yummy Halloween treats for my aunt Brenda's Halloween party later that night.

Brianna hard at work on her cute marshmellow witches!

Me with my yummy ice cream cake.
After my birthday celebrations, we all got dressed up and headed to my aunt Brenda's for her yearly Halloween party! Last minute my mom put together a cute Minnie Mouse costume for me, yes I was feeling fat and lame and wasn't going to dress up. haha thanks though mom for dressin me up!

    Mike-"whitetrash", Me-"Minnie Mouse", Brent Jr.-"Tin man', Dad-"scarecrow", Brianna-"the Lion", Mom-"Dorthy", Brielle-"The Wicked Witch of the west"

I guess my husband thought he was "too cool" or "too whitetrash" or something to smile ha

My brother Brandon and his cute family

    Brit and Bre!

Me with my adorable neice Irey!

All of the cute prego cousins/aunts! According to my Grandma Blackwell there is "a pregnancy epedemic in our family" haha
We all had lots of fun with family and friends dressing up! I especially enjoyed all the yummy snacks there :)
What a great time of year! I just can't wait until next year at this time. I am so excited to dress my little girl up for Halloween!

    Fall Time :)

Since we've moved into our new house, it has been so hard to just sit down and blog! There are so many things for me to get done, I love being busy!

A couple of weekends ago, when my family had their fall break, they all came to visit and see our new house. It was SO much fun having people I know here in town, we've had very few visitors due to the time of year and distance. Hopefully that will change now that we actually have a place for people to stay comfortably! Anyways, that weekend we got a lot of things done; we finished almost everything we needed to sew for the nursery (my mom pretty much did it all, she's incredible), painted many many things for the nursery since I am not supposed to paint (thanks sooooo much Brianna and Brielle!), we worked on and finished my baby shower invites getting them ready to mail, made Halloween sugar cookies and decorated them, went swimming and worked out at our really nice Rec. Center which we get to go to for free :), watched some awesome movies, and laughed hysterically while doing all of those. I always look forward to seeing my family because we always have the most crazy fun times, no matter what we're doing.

    Everyone relaxin' and chillin'!
    Lelly, Bony, me, and mommy!

    Making our Halloween sugar cookies!

Meanwhile, the boys literally were staring at the computer screen from the second they woke up to the minute they went to bed, taking breaks only to stuff their faces and go dirt biking a couple of times. We all got a huge kick out of Mike and Brent Jr. and the hours after hours that they spent looking and talking about motorcycles on the computer. Silly boys. :) Thank goodness Brent was able to get an INCREDIBLE deal on a dirk bike of his own, a really really nice bike. Now he just has to get it out here and him and Mike will have the time of their lives with all the hills and trails around here. It really is the perfect place to dirk bike, it's awesome how that worked out!
Doing what they do best, yippin' away at the computer about bikes!
Mike, and Hurk on Mike's bike. :)
What a great weekend we had with them! Hope to have visitors sometime soon. :)

    Our new home

SO we were finally able to close on our house a little over two weeks ago! There were way too many complications than necessary, but we got everything squared away (or more as waited for the sellers to get this squared away ha ha). It was well worth the wait! I am LOVING my new little house. It has been really fun decorating and doing things however I want, sooo much better than renting or living in a motor home!! Mike and I feel so blessed to have been able to purchase our first humble adobe within the first year of our marriage. :) It is definitely a big responsibility, but it's great to have my own little home that we'll be able to start growing our little family in!

I LOVE that huge tree in the front yard, great shade :) This is our cute little, humble house!
There are so many things in a normal household that I have definitely taken for granted before we moved out here. I am soo thankful for a normal, running toilet, HOT RUNNING SHOWER!!, fridge and freezer that fits more than a gallon of milk, counterspace to actually cook on, a COUCH, my amazingly comfortable bed, a garbage disposal, mike's favorite-the GARAGE! ha I could continue but I just want to say how thankful I am for a roof over my head and for my little growing angel inside of me. Oh how I love her soo much already. I can't wait to meet her, in like two and a half months!!

This is me at 27 weeks.

Life here in Colorado is going great....now that we're enjoying where we're living. :) I am getting very anxious for the next couple of months to hurry up! I have lots of distractions though which will be great, my birthday, Halloween, a couple of baby showers, a cousin's wedding, Michael and I's first anniversary, Thanksgiving and the other holidays. What a great couple of months we have to look forward to! Baby will be here before we know it. I have been able to feel her so much more lately, which I love, I was getting worried there for a little bit. Every Sunday in church, whenever we sing a hymn, she just goes nuts!! Not sure if she hates it or if we have a little spiritual singing bee on our hands! It makes me laugh so hard, people are probably looking at me like why on earth is that prego lady laughing during every song? ha ha She also HATES cold, which I'm sure most babies in the womb do. I was eating ice cream the other day on the couch, I had the ice cream bowl rested on top of my belly, she kept kicking and kicking at it, probably telling me to get that off of her! I would take it off and she immediately stopped, we did that back and forth for a little bit, it was very amusing for me. That was also the very first time that I SAW my belly move because of her moving. It was so incredible.
I have days like once a week where I feel all day like my skin is literally being pulled and pulled nonstop, making my belly appear even bigger. It's very painful :( This is my baby bump at 28 weeks.

    28 1/2 weeks.
I have quickly found while unpacking and decorating my house, that I have ZERO balance and it's extremely difficult to do something as simple as standing on a chair to hang a picture ha ha. So far I have only fallen once, hurt like a mother though because I weigh like 123122234970 more pounds than I used to!!
Here are a couple of pictures of the inside of the house. My camera is pretty much a piece of garbage so not very good pictures. If you wanna see better ones, then COME VISIT!!!
Our living/family room. I am so happy with how HUGE this room is. Good thing, because we have a lot of crap to fit in it!!
Dining area and Kitchen, my least favorite thing about this house.
The laundry room. Something very dear to me. In our apartment in Bountiful the washer and dryer hook ups were in the kitchen, which we used as lovely counter space! ha ha
    Second bedroom.
    Second bathroom.
PATHETIC picture of the nursery. I need to get working on it! As of now, its just piles and boxes of stuff :(
    Our lovely, spacious master bedroom.
Our lovely and very unspacious master bathroom.

I am so shocked that I was able to unpack and decorate almost everything in two weeks! I thought it would take me months. Thank goodness it's all behind me! Now about the nursery......it could use a lot of working on.
