The end of summer...

We were very sad to see the end of summer come so quickly. I am just so used to having my siblings ready to play whenever I came to visit. It's going to be so different now that they'll all be in school, INCLUDING MY MOM!! ha ha I am so happy and proud of her for going back to school, but it will definitely be a difficult adjustment for us all.
I felt baby girl kick VERY HARD for the first time last week. It was such a great feeling to distinctively know that is was her kicking. We have decided on a name for her, Evelette Diane. We are so excited about this name, Mike was the one who actually came up with it a while back and it just seemed to kinda stick once we for sure knew we were having a girl.
Last week I was lucky enough to spend the whole week at my family's house in Springville. It was the craziest week ever. Tuesday I had an ultrasound double checking the sex, measuring all her different body parts, and checking for any abnormalities. My mom and I went to Pei Wei before my appointment, this is now our favorite place to eat together. :) After that we went shopping at all kinds of different places getting baby clothes and different crafts to start the baby nursery. I always have so much fun with my mom! Wednesday was the 'Girls Day' in Park City. We went to lunch and then went shopping at the outlets. It was such a nice and perfect breezy day for shopping. We got a lot of good deals and a lot of good laughs. (I need to get all the pictures from my mom!) Thursday was not such a fun day for me. My mom took me up to Ogden for my second Root Canal appointment. NOOOO fun laying in a dentist chair for over 3 hours while prego!! My tooth is feeling a lot better thanks to a lot of yummy frozen treats that day :) and I am just so glad that's over with! Friday my mom and I finally were able to start on the nursery and crib stuff! It's turning out to be so cute already, lots more to do but I am getting soo excited about moving into our house and starting this nursery! Later that night my cousin Nicole and her little family Brad and Jett came over to play. It's so nice having them close and being able to see lots more of them! We had lots of fun chatting, ping ponging and playing Phase 10! Saturday I went to Mike's aunt's baby shower at the Hale Theater, it was such a fun time!
Anyways... Crazy crazy fun week last week, I need to get some pictures. I always feel so bad leaving Mike at home by himself, but he's always such a great husband and a great sport about it. I love him so much!

Just some fun random pics of my family and I.
My little girl's profile at 21 weeks. She's going to have the Blackwell lips and the Meinzer nose! haha
These blocks turned out great. I just to add ribbon and hang them once we get the nursery going!

Tomorrow I have another doctor's appointment to see Evey, and then off to St. George with my family for my brother Brandon's birthday weekend! Very excited for more family time...but not necessarily the HEAT.

IT'S A GIRL!!!!

It's official, Michael and I are having a baby GIRL! And we couldn't be more thrilled and excited! Most of us were just expecting it to be a boy because of the Meinzer genes. BUT I guess I proved everyone wrong, Blackwell genes do have a say he he. We have a couple of names we're thinking of, but nothing totally for sure yet. Best of all, my little girl looks like she is growing and growing and is very healthy, which a mommy always loves to hear. :-)
We had such a great weekend with both of our families. My best friend had her baby shower on Saturday, it was really good seeing her and all my friends together! Baby showers make me sooo excited for my little one. After the shower, Brit and I went on my FIRST shopping spree for our little girl, who is going to be very very spoiled. I also started making some baby bows and headbands, thanks to the help of Kylie, Mommy, and Lelly Bell. As you can tell, I am VERY excited to finally know what the gender of my baby is :)

Bigger and Bigger...

So I am at Barnes and Noble in Denver, Colorado, waiting for Mike to get out of his class. It has been such a nice relaxing couple of days this week. Mike had to come here Sunday-Wednesday for some training for his new job. Paid hotel, food, gas, and a freakin sweet ride. haha It's been pretty fun. I love spending time with my hubby AWAY from the motorhome!! Makes for such a enjoyable time--pretty much no matter what we end up doing. I woke up this morning with a stupid, painful cold. BLAH. Not so fun when traveling back home, going from 11, 000 foot elevation to 4, 000 foot elevation, painful for the ears if you know what I mean.

The drive was so incredible, so beautiful! It rained the whole time, and we were so high that we practically drove right through clouds, it was cool! I definitely forgot how amazing the Rocky Mountains are! Awesome scenery for our long drive :)

Yes, Mike ate this whole Blooming Onion himselft. Ha ha I was laughing at how excited he was to get it at Outback Steakhouse. He would've shared, but I dislike onions very much.

We had such a fun time being dorks in these awesome 3D glasses. For those of you who have not seen Despicable Me, GO SEE IT. We were laughing the whole time! Great, cute movie.

More baby bump pictures... I swear my belly literally gets bigger every day! Fun times.

Boy or Girl?????
TWO MORE DAYS UNTIL I WILL FINALLY KNOW!! :)

A day in the life of .... trailer trash!!

For those of you who know, my husband and I recently moved to Rangely, Colorado, a very small town near the border of Utah. If my camera would work properly, I would post some pictures of our awesome living quarters. By awesome, I mean that we are living my father in law's motorhome! --- No hot water for taking showers or doing the dishes, the toilet finally has been fixed after two weeks of making hourly trips to the gas station (due to my lovely prego bladder), and when I cook, which is every second it feels like, I have to turn OFF the AC. Keep in mind, here in Rangely it gets to at least 100 degrees every day. Oh boy oh boy. I feel like I'm just a complaining, emotional, pregnant lady these days, but I have to express my frustrations somehow or I will probably go INSANE!!
My husband works at the Mine here in town, in the engineering department. He loves it so far. Mike is such a positive person, always has been, I think its a good thing I fell in love with someone like him, or else things could get scary. haha He definitely keeps me going and helps me to be grateful for what I DO HAVE. I am so lucky to have him as my husband, I love him so much. And don't get me wrong, I am sooo thankful that Mike got this new job and that he can provide for our little family :) Not very many stay at home mom's are as lucky as I will be, to have a loving husband/father who goes to work every day at 5am and does it happily just because he knows he has me and the soon to be little Meinzer baby to come home to.
We have been trying to get into our house that we're going to buy. I never realized how long the process of buying a house took!!! Maybe it just feels like its already been 6 months because I live in a flippin trailer. haha.

On to better news... Michael and I get to find out what sex our baby is in 9 days!!!!! I am getting soo anxious to know what's growing inside of me! I don't really have a preference to what gender it is, I just need to know asap! I really really really wish my camera worked, cuz I have been developing a BABY BUMP! haha who would've thought I am already showing so much at 17 weeks! I don't know if thats a good or a bad thing, but it is what it is! I love being past the 'fat' stage, even though I still feel huge haha, but at least people can tell there's a precious little baby growing in there! I love being pregnant, I get so emotional every time I think that I am going to be a mommy so soon! I am soo excited. January 7th isn't going to come fast enough!

Sorry about the crappy picture--due to my camera being broken. This is my pregnant belly at 17 weeks! Can't believe I am already so big.....

Our Beautiful Wedding Day

Here's just a few of my favorites, this was hard to choose, we have over 1000 amazing pictures of the temple, reception, and luncheon.

We miss you Grandma Perkins!
For those of you who do not know, my poor husband (and POOR me haha), less than 16 hours before this picture was taken, was at the gym lifting weights. He was bench pressing about 545 pounds, if I remember correctly. There was a guy there "spotting" him, and obviously didn't do a very good job because Mike ended up dropping the whole bar and 545 pounds onto his face/jaw. Long story short, I got a call while I was getting my nails done for the wedding saying that Mike had been in a horrible accident and was in the emergency room. I have NO IDEA how his jaw didn't break, or worse, but he was able to walk away from this with quite a few stitches right under his lower lip, on his chin, some teeth cemented back into place and some serious sores and ulcers in his mouth and throat that lasted WEEKS. I know for sure that day that our Heavenly Father protected him and made sure he was able to still go through the temple with me the very next morning. Satan tried to stop us from going to the temple, I am so grateful that my husband is ok and was able to fully recover from that accident, whether I had to talk for him the whole day, all our kisses were very short and filled with blood (EWE), but it was SO worth it and I wouldn't have changed it for the world.
I love my parents SO much. Without them, our beautiful day would have been nothing. They have been so amazing to me, have always been there for me, and are such good examples of how to stay happily married even after 25 years. I love you guys!!!
